The University should cover the cost of a new visa application for international students impacted by Covid

Passed: November 2020 (24th)

What do you want? / Why do you want it?

International students negatively impacted by COVID-19 will likely need to apply for extensions to finish their courses. This will cause them to have to apply for a visa extension, which is costly. (The visa application fee plus the additional NHS surcharge will be about 1,000 pounds in most cases). As International students already pay higher fees, and have lost out on access to University for six months, a reduction in their fee to match this cost would be extremely helpful for those looking at needing an extension.
